I was born in New York City and moved to Florida right after 5th grade. I thought it was the worst thing that could happen to me, but now I love Florida and would never move back! Ever since I was a little girl, I knew I wanted to be a teacher. I was one of those kids that would sit their dolls down and pretend they were students. I graduated from Florida International University in 1999 with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. I began teaching at Sea Castle Elementary, but after 6 years there, I felt like I needed a change of scenery. I came to Dolphin Bay and this will be my 3rd year at this wonderful school. In 2006 I earned my National Board Certification. It was one of the hardest and most stressful experiences of my life, but I am so proud that I was able to accomplish it. When I am not working, I enjoy watching sports with my husband and playing with our one year old son.
